                Happy Labor Day Weekend!
Shopping and dining are surely in your plans, so head down to The Avenue of Glendora Village.

new location.

'Word' Extra: Dance Street West Steps Lively at Third Thursday

A "surprise" flash mob took over Village Plaza at last night's Third Thursday as members of Dance Street West entertained the crowd.

Third Thursdays have grown through the summer to bring more visitors "after hours" to Glendora Village as more and more stores and restaurants stay open until 8 p.m. one day a month.

Young musicians from Mike's Guitar World perform along The Avenue, and last night's flash mob performance delighted visitors, too.

Here are some photos of the talented dancers, and Thanks Dance Street West!

Welcome to August Along the Avenue

We’re in the dog days of summer (traditionally July 24-Aug. 24), and The Avenue  of Glendora Village is the perfect place to walk a dog, as many owners will attest.

In fact, there are so many dogs that business owners keep water bowls well-filled on Avenue sidewalks to refresh Fido, and you’ll see many canines resting underneath sidewalk tables as their owners dine al fresco.
Beside our pet-friendly Village, several events and activities this month are a good reason to visit The Avenue:

Every Saturday

The Glendora Village Organic Farmers and Artisan Market, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Village Plaza parking lot. Be sure to pick up $1 off coupons from any Village merchant for the market.

Business Expos in the Village Plaza spotlight various businesses and services you’ll find along The Avenue. Tomorrow, learn about The Lash Company, the Glendora Chamber of Commerce, L'Image Photography , and SING INC, which will present one of its performance groups at 12:30 p.m.
Since SING INC was profiled recently, here's some more info about the other participants of tomorrow's Business Expo:
The Lash Company  –  The Lash Company offers many ways to look your best, from lash extensions to skin treatments to makeup to laser airbrush tanning and more.
L'Image Photography – Mary Alice Foote and Mitch Merritt opened L'Image Photography in 2010, offering a wide range of photography services from celebrations to senior student portraits to model portfolios to product images and more. By appointment only, call (626) 482-8723.

Glendora Chamber of Commerce – The Glendora Chamber of Commerce represents local businesses to assist in successful business growth and development.
