“Lunch and Learn” classes are held each Thursday at 11 a.m.
with chef Dede Turner, who co-owns Village Kitchen Shoppe with Carol Harrell. Each class is $25. Next Thursday’s class will focus on Gnocchi
with Summer Vegetables and Brown Butter and Warm Goat Cheese and Hazelnut Salad.
The "Lunch and Learn" menu for Thursday, Aug. 29, will be Prosciutto-Wrapped Prawns with Piquillo
Vinaigrette and Watercress, and Avocado Papaya Salad with Papaya Seed Dressing.
Also on Thursdays are “Hands On Classes” at 6 p.m. for $50 each. Next Thursday’s class’ menu
will be Hands-On Quick and Easy Chinese Egg Rolls, Stir Fry Chicken and
Broccoli, Fried Rice with instructor Leyla Can.

10:30 a.m. for $50. Next Saturday, Aug. 24, the menu will be Tableside Cooking
from The Dal Rae Restaurant, presented by Leslie Riley, featuring the
restaurant’s classic Caesar Salad, Steak Diane with the Famous Dal Rae Pepper
Sauce and Flambeed Bananas Foster.
On Saturday, Sept. 7, chef Laura Pohopien will present main
dish salads – Jumbo Shrimp with Baby Greens and Basil Vinaigrette, Never-ending
Anitpasto Salad, New York Strip Steak and Potatoes Salad (Composed), Farmstand
Salad with Sundried Tomato Dressing
