Business Expo Shines Spotlight on The Avenue of Glendora Village

The weekend is upon us and there’s another chance to learn more about The Avenue of Glendora Village at tomorrow’s Business Expo in the Village Plaza.

Nearby is the Village’s Organic Farmers Market in the Village Plaza parking lot, where you can get fresh fruits and vegetables for your weekend enjoyment. It’s open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Business Expo participants this week:
Da Avére, 158 N. Glendora Ave., Suite D, (626) 335-8705 – It’s sandal season and the perfect time to visit Da Avére.
Elaina Phillips and Lisa Eurton opened Da Avére in October 2007 with the goal “to help our customers find the perfect accessories that will bring their outfit together, whether it be shoes, handbags, sunglasses or jewelry. And we make sure they leave with a smile.”
Featured designers include Donald J Pliner, Very Volatile, Jessica Simpson, Carlos Santana, Sbicca, Steve Madden, Fergie, Nine West, Michael Kors, Maui Jim, Oakley and many others.
If a customer is interested in a certain item, they can call the boutique to have the staff hold it for 48 hours, and items can also be shipped anywhere. If an item will be a present, gift wrapping is available.

Huntington Escrow, Inc., 200 N. Glendora Ave., Suite D, (626) 610-2162 – The Glendora branch of Huntington Escrow, Inc., is one of three; the others are located in Pasadena and Monrovia.
The Glendora office is led by Manager Kathy Burnett, whose vast knowledge in the overall practice of escrow includes residential sales, refinance transactions, exchange and commercial escrows. She enjoys the challenges of troubleshooting and solving the issues that arise from day to day.
Kathy's passion is customer service to her agents and their clients, most importantly she feels the need to proudly represent Huntington Escrow. That passion is shared by her team  – Claire Coyle, Sharon Cowell and Jennifer LaGray – who, Kathy says, "are so important to me, assisting in everything I do."

“In the escrow industry we offer our knowledge and service, and it must be superior and excellent to compete in today’s market,” she said.
Interfaith Religious Articles and Gift Shop, 146 N. Glendora Ave., (626) 857-3700 – The world’s faiths really do come together at Interfaith. There are gifts from the Holy Land and Europe, home decor, indoor and outdoor sculptures, figurines, water fountains and bird feeders, jewelry, representing Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism and more.
Mother and daughter Mirella and Sandra Kouri opened Interfaith Religious Articles and Gift Shop with several goals. The store features treasures – both religious and simply decorative – on Interfaith’s shelves and in gleaming display cases.

Another important mission is to provide books and pamphlets about the world’s religions free of charge to help inform store visitors.

Natural Health Center, 160 N. Glendora Ave., #C, (626) 857-0314 – For 17 years, the Natural Health Center has helped its customers solve health problems with natural vitamins and herbs. “Many times people buy vitamins, but they don’t know what they’re buying,” said owner Jamal Sahouri, who customers call Jim.
“When people come to us with problems, we help them with solutions” to attain better health, strengthen immune systems, reduce blood pressure or cholesterol. Jim adds: “We’re proud that our first customer from 17 years ago still comes to us, and many customers who have moved away still contact us for help.”
