Fix That Pumpkin Craving at Glendora Village Restaurants

The weather is cooling down, we’re officially in Fall, the official pumpkin-flavored season (and seasoning).

There are all kinds of pumpkin goodies offered by Glendora Village’s restaurants.
Classic Coffee -- Classic Coffee’s mouth-watering pumpkin scones (left) are back on the menu through the end of the year. Dip them into a steaming cup of pumpkin spice chai or latte.
Kara’s Korner -- Owner Kara Larson says her husband Robert’s pumpkin cheesecake “is to die for,” and the deli also offers pumpkin cake and pumpkin pecan pancakes, and pumpkin muffins and bagels will be arriving soon.
Village Eatery -- Pumpkin pancakes the size of dinner plates are being served topped with whipped cream and cinnamon sugar. “They’re so large, I can only eat one at a time,” says owner Don Nolan. Each pancake is $2.75. Village Eatery’s home-made pumpkin pies are only $10 for a whole pie, and single slices are available, too.

Village Vault, 161 N. Glendora Ave., (626) 914-4417 – Pumpkin pancakes are on the menu here, too, along with fresh pumpkin pie and muffins.
T.  Phillips Alehouse and Grill -- T. Phillips is adding a pumpkin bean soup on Tuesdays.
Frisella’s Roastery -- Look for homemade pumpkin pies in November just in time for the holidays.
And though these are not pumpkin-flavored, Pumpkin-Shaped Crispie Treats and Pumpkin Mellow candies (right) are being sold at Martha’s Candy.

Classic Coffee is working with First Christian Church of Glendora to “fight hunger . . . one cup at a time,” by hosting the first “Empty Cups” fund-raiser on Friday, Nov. 8, 5-7 p.m.
Inspired by the highly successful “Empty Bowls” fund-raisers, this event offers ceramic coffee mugs handmade by Citrus College and Azusa Pacific University art students for $15. Each donation includes the mug, a hot beverage and a raffle ticket.
Proceeds from the event will support local hunger relief programs including Shepherd’s Pantry, St. Vincent de Paul and the Glendora Police Department food voucher program.
For more information, call Classic Coffee at (626) 335-3313.
