Desiré Jewelry Celebrates Grand Re-Opening in New Location Next Saturday, Feb. 8

Monir Kassis and his wife Jenny (a custom jewelry designer) opened Desiré Jewelry in Glendora Village in 2008, because they live with their two children in Glendora and found the Village to be “beautiful.”

Desiré has just moved to a more spacious location at 155 N. Glendora and the Kassis family will celebrate with a Grand Re-Opening next Saturday, Feb. 8, the same day as the Village’s annual Wine Walk.
So as you stroll along the Avenue during the Wine Walk, drop by Desiré Jewelry to enjoy some refreshments and appetizers. Also enter for a drawing of a gift valued at $300, and take advantage of $50 off any purchase $250 or more that night.
Monir has been working in the jewelry business for 17 years, learning the trade from his cousins who were jewelers. Monir and Jenny met in Glendora and married in 2002.

Jenny joined the jewelry trade starting out as a salesperson shortly after meeting Monir, then obtained a technical diploma in 3D Computer Aided Drafting for jewelry, and has been designing jewelry for over nine years.
Since opening in 2008, the couple has offered one-of-a-kind jewelry or can create any custom design you may imagine.
Custom designs are created both by hand and by using the latest technology in 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD).  Monir is the goldsmith, silversmith and expert diamond/stone setter. Repairs can be made to jewelry and watches, many times on the spot while a customer waits or as soon as the next day.
The new, larger location of Desire Jewelry is
located at 155 N. Glendora Ave.
The new location is larger and more spacious to showcase more jewelry to customers. The walls are lined with gold-framed wall showcases above gleaming gold-tone display cases on the floor, lit brightly to spotlight all the sparkling gems. The couple takes pride in offering beautiful jewelry to fit any budget.
Just as his cousins taught him, Monir has started internships for two young men to share his knowledge and skills about jewelry-making and repairs. Each has his own work station and they are learning how to work with tools and real materials.
“I just want to do something good for them,” Monir explained. “I’ll teach them during their spare time when they are not busy with college.”
