August Expos Showcase Family & Community Businesses

We’ve enjoyed mild summer weather lately, and that makes for a nice day to get out and stroll The Avenue of Glendora Village.

There's the Glendora Village Organic Farmers and Artisan Market in the Village Plaza parking lot. Be sure to pick up $1 off coupons from Village merchants to use at the farmers market.

Saturday Business Expos in the Village Plaza will focus on Family & Community groups this month:
Sarah and Jaclyn Gonzalez,
owner/operators of Studio 129.

Studio 129: Sarah Gonzalez opened Studio 129 18 years ago in Glendora Village, and because of her warm, inviting, and sincere personality, she has been able to instill and design a similar atmosphere for her customers as well as her stylists. Her daughter Jaclyn grew up with a passion for people hair and make-up. She has joined her mother at Studio 129, specializing in updo’s, hair extensions, and is certified in Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy.
Visiting Angels: Visiting Angels is a full-service senior homecare agency providing a comprehensive range of non-medical services on an hourly basis. Services include meal preparation, personal care and hygiene, medication reminders, errands and transportation, light housekeeping, and joyful companionship. Experienced caregivers are bonded and insured; and since they’re employees of Visiting Angels, clients’ risk is minimized. The agency has had the privilege of caring for hundreds of seniors in the San Gabriel and Pomona valleys and the Glendora office serves the communities of Azusa, Bradbury, Covina, Duarte, Glendora, La Verne, Monrovia, and San Dimas.

SING INC: This studio's youngest students -- age 3-7 -- enrolled in the studio's Kidstarz classes will perform Saturday. Visitors can learn more about other classes and activities -- Try It Out, private singing lessons, Birthday Parties and more.
Trevor Williams State Farm: “Our mission is to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams,” says agent Trevor Williams. He brings a hometown understanding to his clients as a fourth-generation local resident who was born and raised in Glendora and educated at Glendora High School, Citrus College and University of La Verne. He also served in the Army as the Squad Team Leader of the 1stRanger Battalion.
