Pamper Yourself at Y'Sharis Spa

Yvette Sharis finally got her wish to open a full-service spa on The Avenue of  Glendora Village.

In 2007, she was looking for a new location for Y’Sharis Spa, but there were no business vacancies in the Village. She opened in Monrovia, and six years later she’s finally in Glendora at 160 N. Glendora Ave.

Before Yvette opened “brick-and-mortar” locations (the first was in West Hollywood), Y’Sharis (pronounced E-shah-rees) provided complete spa experiences for HBO’s celebrity lounges before and after awards shows such as the Emmys, Academy Awards and the Golden Globes.  Since 2008, Y’Sharis Spa has provided services for “Dancing WithThe Stars” and its Dance Camps.
While she was working with celebrities, Yvette longed to open a place with a regular clientele with whom she and her crew could build a community. “I’m in business to have relationships,” she explained. “We want to not only know about you, but your family and your friends.”

Y’Sharis Spa offers an extensive menu of only organic and natural spa therapies to renew, revitalize, rejuvenate and relax customers – everything except hair styling.

“We pride ourselves on being recognized as a hygienically clean spa, with our guest needs in mind and providing a healthy and safe environment,” she added.

Y’Sharis Spa’s strict use of copper basins for pedicures – an anti-bacterial choice to prevent infection – has created a strong following among City of Hope cancer patients.

An important part of Y’Sharis Spa’s success is its staff: Diana Morales (Yvette’s mother, who she calls “my right hand and business partner” who also decorated the Glendora location), business partner Sunita Panjabi, Narcissa Daytz (aesthetician, makeup artist,  waxing and threading), Daniela Garcia (nail technician,  sugaring and waxing), Cindy Van Fleet  (nail technician and makeup artist), Olga Vidales, (bridal up-dos), Melinda Bustos, Myshell Leal, and receptionist Regina Mas.

                Y’Sharis Spa is open Tuesday-Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.;  and Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information, call (626) 357-0800, or visit www.ysharisspa.com.
