This and That in September Along the Avenue

Mark your calendars; there's lots to do on The Avenue this month:

Saturdays through Sept. 28: Glendora Village Organic Farmers and Artisan Market, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Village Plaza parking lot.
Sept. 11-14: Golden Dreams – Gather up your old gold jewelry and take it to the Village Goldsmith for its Gold Buying Event, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. Appraisers from New York will evaluate and purchase jewelry you want to sell.

Sept. 12: Taste of Glendora in the Village – About 20 restaurants from throughout Glendora will share their cuisines at this annual movable feast among restaurants and merchants along the Avenue.
It’s just $30 for 20 stops – sample 5 appetizers, 5 soups or salads, 5 main dishes, 5 desserts, with many stops serving wine and champagne along with non-alcoholic choices.

Taste of Glendora in the Village participants include Billotti’s Catering, Classic Coffee, The Cake Mamas, Clubhouse 66, Domenico’s Jr., Frisella’s Roastery, Glendora Continental Restaurant, Glendora Bakery, Glendora Country Club, Kara’s Korner, Luca Bella, Martha’s Candy, Spaghetti Eddie’s, Sushi n I, T. Phillips Alehouse & Grill, Village Eatery, Village Kitchen Shoppe and more.
Sept. 19: First Thursday on the Avenue in Glendora Village – Restaurants and stores that normally close early stay open later on Third Thursdays. Many offer special activities (check out Undercovers Intimate Apparel’s Panty Raid and exhibit of artwork by Kids Arts students).
